Plastic recycling saves on average 2.5 kg CO2 for per kg of plastic. We save around 5000 kg CO2 emission daily. Our plastic waste to synthetic rubber sheets are 50-70% cheaper than natural rubber, making footwear price reasonable for working class households.

What We Do

Our factory upcycle single use plastic bags from all over Bangladesh and convert them into synthetic rubber sheets

We manufacture Micro Cellular (MCR) synthetic rubber sheet from discarded single use plastic bags, polyethylene, shopping bags, reclaimed rubber, sponge flip flop. Nearly 2000 KG of single use plastic bags are recycled everyday in our facility, and more than 570 metric tons of plastic bag in a year. These plastic waste did not go to our food chain, prevented clogging sewage line and flowing into riverbed, ocean.

In 2021 Bangladesh discharged 24640 tons of plastics waste into ocean. And a ton of plastic waste takes 810 cubic feet of landfill space.

  • Collect discared plastic bags, shopping bags from street dumpsters
  • Clean all the dust, powder and other contaminated material
  • Make pellet out of those plastic bag to feed into machine
  • With the help of machines, synthetic rubber sheets are made

Plastic Bag Extrusion

Discarded plastic bags including LDP, LLDP, EVA, PE scraps are collected for extrusion through various sources including garments, textile sectors and EPZs from major cities in Bangladesh.

Mixing Raw Materials

Pelletized plastic bags are sent to dispersion kneader with additives for making rubber dough. Later, thin layer of pre-vulcanized sheets are formed using open mixing mill machine.

Synthetic Rubber Sheet

After vulcanization by hydraulic press, rubber sheets are used in footwear industry, bag-luggage industry, garments industry, cattle and dairy farm.

Environmental Impact

One ton of recycled plastic material saves 5774 Kilowatt-hours of energy. In our case, daily 2 metric tons recycled plastic bag would save approx. 11548 KWh of energy and minimize energy needs by 66 percent.

Chemical Based Plastic Recycling in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has been making efforts to address its substantial plastic pollution problem, particularly with single-use plastic bags, but the implementation of chemical recycling remains limited. The country has faced challenges due to a lack of advanced recycling technology and inadequate waste segregation systems. Although the government has implemented policies like the National 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Strategy and a ban on polythene bags, enforcement has been inconsistent. As a result, plastic bags often end up polluting rivers and oceans, with an estimated 14 million plastic bags discarded daily in Dhaka alone.
